Situated snuggly between Joseph Bryan Park to the south and the always blooming Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden to the north is a mile and a half ribbon of asphalt the Virginia Department of Transportation calls Route 161. Around here however we know it as Lakeside Avenue...and for us this is home!

Lakeside is an eclectic mix of very close knit  neighborhoods, parks, and a dynamic mix   of businesses, all sharing the rich historic   heritage as one of Richmond’s first “suburbs”.

Here in Lakeside you’ll find a warm welcoming community very reminiscent of days gone by, yet vibrant and very much “today”.

Void mostly of the cookie cutter chain stores and restaurants that dot other parts of the city, Lakeside is home to many small owner-operated businesses catering to every possible need. In most of the shops and offices, the owners themselves are there to welcome you and to provide a level of service most thought was long ago gone.

Our Annual Christmas Open House Kicks Off The Holiday Season

Many of the merchants will be hosting special events in and around their shops.

The Lakeside Farmers’ Market will be open with a special Holiday Market on Friday night and Saturday.
